Sam Parkin

Having graduated from the Manchester University Business School, Sam worked within operational management roles within chain brands for both Pizza hut and McDonalds. Sam spent 7 years within restaurants, realising a number notable achievements.

Arlene Baker
Head of Resourcing

Arlene Baker is one of the industry's most experienced and respected candidate managers and currently oversees the resourcing function of the Berkeley Scott senior appointments division. With a BAA Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson University Canada, Arlene is a previous Acorn winner.

Arlene began her career within the hotels industry, working both internationally and in the UK, prior to joining Berkeley Scott in 1988. Arlene quickly became one of the top consultants in the business before going on to specialise in the resourcing/support side of the recruitment process.

With an encyclopaedic knowledge of the industry, range of properties and company styles and most importantly the personalities within it, Arlene has been responsible for the assignment management and resourcing of senior managers for the last 10 years across all market sectors and hotel types.
